Embody The Pulse!
This is one of my favorite practice tools. Instead of just listening to a metronome we bring the pulse into the WHOLE body. We want arms moving as fully as possible and movement resonating through the legs.
You can layer on saying the rhythm of the music or sing the phrase as you move the ball.

you get whole arm moving
you will see if your legs are locked
you will FEEL that pulse more clearly as you play
